Family & Consumer Sciences (FACS) represents many disciplines including consumer science, nutrition, food preparation, parenting, early childhood education, family economics, human development, interior design, textiles, apparel design, as well as other related subjects. Courses taught at Pottsville High School include: Child Development, Parenting, Human Relations, Leadership & Service Learning,

Orientation to Teaching I and II, Food & Nutrition, Housing & Interior Design, Consumer Services, Financial Literacy, and Customer Relations. FCCLA (Family, Career & Community Leaders of America) is the CTSO (Career & Technical Student Organization) that is an integral part of the FACS curriculum.
