Hello everyone! Just wanted to wish everyone a safe summer. Some headlines i wanted to share with you guys: First off many of you may or may not know that i am an EMT (and a former student athlete) and know with the weather starting to heat up the likely hood of dehydration, heat exhaustion, or even heat stroke is prevalent. Rule of thumb i want to pass on to you is that if you drink water (just as an example) only when your thirsty its too late. You need to constantly have fluids in your system so you aren't at risk of any medical issues. If you, a friend, or a family member is taking medication(s) you need more fluids in your system then the average person. If you feel dizzy, light-headed, start seeing bright lights, your urine is a dark dark yellow, these are SOME signs that your body is screaming for fluids. Now water (or any beverage with electrolytes) needs to be your friend. Soda, juice, coffee, and especially alcohol will make you feel good at the time but your actually doing more damage and if you aren't careful likely to pass out. So just have a clean water source around you so you and your loved ones can enjoy this weather while its here.
