The premier organization in the Hudson Valley for children and family support, addressing the epidemic of child abuse through prevention services and education. For nearly 50 years, CPCA has provided critical resources including court-mandated family intervention and counseling, educational training and support for parents of all ages, in-depth abuse prevention including in-school programs and adv

ocacy, as well as programming focused on the overall care and support for children. In partnership with State and local authorities, CPCA’s vision is to end child abuse and human trafficking, and to provide parents and families with the tools and knowledge to provide safe, caring and nurturing environments for their children.

🐾 National Dog Day: Meet Peace! 💙

Peace joined the CPCA in December 2020 and has been making a difference ever since. Specially trained through ECAD, Peace understands more than 50 commands and plays a vital role in supporting children and families at our Child Advocacy Center.

He helps ease anxiety, provides comfort during forensic interviews and therapy sessions, and can even support victims through the court process when needed.

His name says it all—Peace brings comfort, safety, and a sense of calm when children need it most. 🐾💙

Kinda chic to be a hero for kids 🧸💙

For over 50 years, the CPCA has shown up for Hudson Valley children and families through education, advocacy, and everyday support. None of this is possible without the people who believe in this work and our amazing community who continue to support us and share our mission.

There are so many ways to support and get involved with the CPCA:

Our Child Advocacy Center Coordinator, Becca, and one of our Family Advocates, Sidney, had the opportunity to attend the 2026 OVS Seeking Solutions Summit in New York City!

During the summit, they participated in meaningful group discussions about the obstacles and barriers that can impact victims’ experiences when navigating different systems. They also explored how recent New York State policy changes are affecting the social services field, while sharing community resources and building connections with professionals from across the state.

We’re grateful for opportunities like these that allow our team to learn, connect, and continue strengthening the support we provide to children and families in our community. 💙🧸

A HUGE thank you to the Valkyrie Vixens RC for choosing CPCA as the beneficiary of their Sunday Funday fundraiser at Juan Murphy’s! 🎉🏍️

Because of their generosity, hard work, and the incredible support of everyone who came out, nearly $700 was raised for CPCA in just one evening!!

We are so grateful to the Valkyrie Vixens for welcoming us, rallying their community around our mission, and helping us continue our work to protect children, strengthen families, and prevent child abuse throughout the Hudson Valley.

And of course, thank you to Juan Murphy’s for hosting such a fun night and to everyone who donated, stopped by our table, and showed their support. It truly takes a community to make this work possible.
