Today, we proudly celebrated the official launch of AnchorPoint, our new crisis residence program for youth, with a ribbon cutting attended by approximately 60 local officials, community partners, supporters, board members, and staff. We were honored to welcome Dutchess County Executive Sue Serino, Trevor Redl - Dutchess County Legislator, District 1 , and representatives from Dutchess County Government, the office of Senator Rob Rolison, the office of Assemblymember Didi Barrett, the office of Assemblymember Anil Beephan and the office of Congressman Pat Ryan.

This milestone represents more than five years of planning and collaboration. From intentional program development to extensive renovation to the current site, countless hours were invested to bring this vision to life. AnchorPoint highlights what can happen when community organizations, government leaders, and supporters come together to address the needs of vulnerable youth and families.

Since welcoming its first child in January, AnchorPoint has already served 31 youth and families. The program provides 24/7 care and support from a multidisciplinary team of youth counselors, clinicians, and registered nurses. Youth receive intensive clinical services, including medication management support, individual therapy, and group therapy multiple times each week. Family therapy is also strongly encouraged from the very beginning to help strengthen relationships and support long-term success.

Thank you to everyone who helped make AnchorPoint a reality. Together, we are ensuring youth have a place to turn to when they need it most.

Thank you to the panelists, Sabrina Jaar Marzouka, commissioner of Dutchess County Government Department of Community and Family Services, Madeline Henriquez, executive director of DAY ONE Early Learning Community, Chris White, vice chancellor for workforce development and upward mobility at State University of New York (SUNY), and moderator Jill Gomez, executive director of Poughkeepsie Children's Cabinet for a thoughtful conversation about the challenges families are experiencing, the impact on our community, and the potential solutions needed to support family stability and regional growth.
