What a beautiful 20th anniversary we had on Peach Hill yesterday! It was a great celebration of our founding members who saved this land from development- thanks Rebecca Edwards for honoring them! It’s official- October 3rd is Peach Hill Park day in the Town of Poughkeepsie 🍎. Big thanks to the Friends of Peach Hill Board Members and our faithful volunteers: Gail, Janet, Mark and the Albano’s. A special shout out to Melly with Climate Ready and The Ralph T. Waterman bird club for bringing special booths to our event. And of course, mega snaps to our friends from Theta Delta Chi at Marist University - their energy, great work ethic and spark make the day! We appreciate your service to our park and value our relationship with you!

C***r Fest is almost here! Please join us Saturday, October 3, from 1–4 PM (rain date: October 4) as we celebrate 20 years of Peach Hill Park.
This year’s celebration is especially meaningful. In recognition of the park’s 20th anniversary and its importance to our community, the Town of Poughkeepsie has officially proclaimed October 3rd as Peach Hill Park Day!

Dear Peach Hill Park Peeps,
We wanted to take a moment, to thank all the people that donated, our volunteers, contractors and the Town of Poughkeepsie Recreation Department. Peach Hill Park is open because of them, the trails look great and this year’s apple crop is looking strong—it’s a wonderful time to visit the park!

As always, please keep an eye out while you’re on the trails. If you notice a fallen tree, damaged sign, or other issue, please let us know by emailing [email protected]. If you’re near one of our trail maps, including the map location number in your report is especially helpful.

We are pleased to share that, thanks to a community effort, Peach Hill Park has reopened.

Following the severe storm that caused significant damage throughout the park, tremendous progress has been made in clearing the trails and making the park safe for visitors. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Town of Poughkeepsie Recreation Department, our dedicated volunteers, and the skilled contractors who worked tirelessly to help restore the park. Their hard work and commitment made this reopening possible.

While the trails have been cleared, the clean up efforts are still underway. We ask everyone who visits the park to exercise caution. There may still be fallen branches, uneven footing, and other storm-related obstacles, and you may encounter volunteers or work crews continuing cleanup in various areas of the park.

Please stay on marked trails, be aware of your surroundings, and respect any temporary closures. Together, we can ensure that everyone enjoys Peach Hill Park safely while restoration continues.

Thank you for your patience, your support, and for helping us care for this special place. We look forward to seeing you back on the trails.

We are working hard to clear the park and reopen it. We have already hired our mowing person to push much of the debris off the trails. Some volunteers and then the Town of Poughkeepsie will hopefully make more progress tomorrow. Any donation is very much appreciated to help with the efforts!
