☀️Summer Intern Spotlight: Meet Violet!

We’re continuing our Summer Intern Spotlight series with Violet Mackey from Southern Methodist University! This summer, Violet has been gaining firsthand insight into the criminal justice system and experiencing the prosecution process from a new perspective.

When asked about her favorite part of the internship so far, Violet shared:

“My favorite part about interning here so far has been getting to observe court and see the legal process in action. I've also really enjoyed getting to know everyone at the office, they have all been so kind and welcoming!”

From the courtroom to getting to know the people behind the work, Violet has embraced every opportunity to learn and become part of the DCDA team. We’re grateful to have her with us this summer and excited to see where her passion for law takes her!

Our team had a great time at the 2026 Dutchess County Fair!

From cheering on live bands and enjoying the rides to exploring the incredible displays and exhibits, there was something for everyone. We got to meet plenty of adorable fair friends along the way—including some very cute bunnies and even baby Dolly the cow!

The Dutchess County Fair is always a great reminder of what makes our community so special: talented people, hardworking families, local traditions, and plenty of opportunities to come together.

We’re proud to be part of it and always enjoy seeing so many familiar faces along the way!

Wrapping up the senior picnic season in East Fishkill! We had a great time surrounded by wonderful company, good conversation, and an incredible community.

A special thank you to the Dutchess County Office for the Aging for all you do year-round to support, connect, and enrich the lives of seniors across our community. We’re grateful to be part of these events and look forward to doing it all again next year!

Keeping seniors one step ahead!

Today, DA Anthony Parisi joined the Town of LaGrange Senior Center to share information about the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office, the resources available to seniors, and practical safety tips to help our community stay informed and protected.

Chief ADA Mike Brady, ADA McGrath, and members of our team were also there to connect with residents, answer questions, and hand out some DCDA swag!

Thank you to the Town of LaGrange Senior Center for welcoming us and for giving us the opportunity to connect with the community.

Summer Intern Spotlight: Meet Patrick!

Our Summer Intern Spotlight continues with Patrick White, a law student at Pace Law, who has spent the summer gaining hands-on experience and learning alongside the talented attorneys of the Dutchess County District Attorney's Office.

When asked about his favorite part of the internship, Patrick shared:

“Getting to go to court every day and learning how each attorney approaches cases and challenges differently.”

By observing courtroom proceedings and working alongside experienced prosecutors, Patrick has gained valuable insight into the many ways legal strategy, preparation, and advocacy come together to serve justice. His enthusiasm for learning and commitment to public service have made him a great addition to the DCDA team.

Thank you, Patrick, for your hard work and dedication this summer. We wish you continued success as you pursue your goal of becoming a prosecutor!

On Sunday, ADAs Paglia and O’Hare spent the morning speaking with students at Dutchess Community College’s Drug Awareness Panel.

From fentanyl and counterfeit pills to prevention, recovery, and the realities of drug use, they brought knowledge, compassion, and real-world perspective to an important conversation.
