Keith O'Hanlon
If any of my Veteran friends would like to reserve a spot to ride on Lucy Deucy in the Pleasant Valley Weekend parade on September 10th, please PM me. I ride VETERANS ONLY in the parade. You will have to be able to climb up the stepladder to get in the back of Lucy, but there will be some young bucks to help you up and down. I also can put a passenger in the cab. If you have an old uniform that you can fit into, I encourage you to wear it. The residents of Pleasant Valley really enjoyed seeing the Vets riding on Lucy last year, and I want to give them a full truck this year!

let me know if interested?

my apologies for a statement I recently released on Veterans being booted from a hotel, heres the real story.These people should hang thier heads in shame.

POUGHKEEPSIE – Seven homeless men have come forward to say they were part of a group of men recruited at a Poughkeepsie homeless shelter to act as veterans that had been displaced from a Newburgh hotel in order for a non-profit organization to perpetrate a fraud on the public. The men told Mid-Hud...

Veterans need Respect:
The headlines on social meda are proclaiming " Veterans removed from hotel for Immigrants" yet we hear no out cry from our veteran or Political spokespeople

it is essential to treat all individuals with respect, kindness, and equality. Veterans have served their country, and they have made important contributions to society. In the same vein, immigrants should also be treated fairly and with dignity. While every county has its own specific policies and laws regarding immigration, but not over our veterans. it is important to remember that everyone deserves to be treated with respect and kindness.

An unfinished story… Since the revolutionary war the Town of Beekman has produced sons and daughters that have risked their lives in protecting our freedom. Our grave yards and memories are filled with Veterans from the Revolutionary war up to present day wars. Marc Coviello a community son of “Beekman” carries on that tradition as a United States Army soldier. As a community we paid our respects to him at a Town Board meeting, when he was being deployed for the third time. On February 10th Sargent Marc Covellio was awarded The Purple Heart Medal for wounds received. As a community who rises and sleeps under the blanket of freedom that is provided by men and women like Marc Coviello we would like to say Thank you, and our prayers and thoughts are with you as you recover. They have removed the fragments of metal from Marc but removing the images of death and mayhem from his mind will take time and support. Please join me in saying Thank You by Sharing, commenting or hitting ‘Like”
