❤️🤍💙 Thank you to the Pound Ridge Garden Club for the care and dedication you bring to our Memorial Day traditions. Your beautiful wreaths help honor and remember our veterans in a meaningful way with one placed during the cemetery ceremony and another displayed in front of Conant Hall in tribute to those who served in the Korean War. Your contribution is greatly appreciated!

Coffee & Conversation☕️

Repost:

This past Saturday, , , Pound Ridge Town Supervisor Kevin Hansan, and I met with community members for a Coffee & Conversation. Each of us provided a brief update, but we were there primarily to hear from residents.

It was a lively and engaged conversation, with topics including the status of the NYS budget, NYSEG’s requested rate increase, legislation to reform the utility rate-setting process, and proposed changes in the NYS pension system. We also discussed the challenges Senator Mayer and I have faced in securing passage of legislation to help the town recruit and retain retired police officers.

We thank those who joined us, as well as the Pound Ridge Library for hosting the event.

A note from Supervisor Hansan:

It is with deep sadness that I share the sudden passing of our Recreation Department Superintendent, Andrea (“Drea”) Russo.

Since joining the Town in March 2023, Drea quickly became an important part of our community, bringing energy, creativity, and heart to expanding recreation programs for residents of all ages. Many of you knew her through the programs she built and the genuine care she showed to every family she served. She earned the respect and admiration of colleagues across Westchester County and leaves behind a lasting impact on our Town.

Earlier this year, at 36 weeks pregnant, Drea faced a serious medical crisis. In the months that followed, she focused on recovery while embracing her most meaningful role: being a mother to her newborn daughter, Daniella. Even through these challenges, she remained hopeful and determined to return to the work and community she loved.

On behalf of the Town, and personally, I extend my heartfelt condolences to Drea’s husband, Robert (“Bobby”) Russo, their daughter Daniella, and their entire family. Our thoughts are with them during this incredibly difficult time. Drea will be deeply missed.
