The office of Pound's Economic Development administers an economic development program designed to captivate, maintain, facilitate and generate expansion of high quality business and industry that results in an unwavering, diverse, local economy and an improved standard of living for the citizens of Pound, VA. With that goal in mind, the department realizes the following objectives:

• increase the commercial and industrial tax base
• increase the awareness of and support of the Economic Development
• develop and maintain a comprehensive information base
