Beginning JUNE 1. Please help us get the word out that the Summer Food Program for Children will again be available at 2 locations in Powell. Homesteader Park and South Side Park. Special thanks to our Nutrition Services Director, Travis Tucker, and our Nutrition Services Team for all the work they put into making this great community program fly. Ensuring that children enjoy healthful and delicious meals over the summer is important and we are honored to be a part of it. We also love to partner with Powell Recreation District to coordinate the lunches with the great recreation programs available for children over the summer.

Wyoming is known as the Equality State. We were the first to give women the right to vote and the first to elect a female governor. Our state helped shape the history of women’s equality in America. But equality is about more than opportunity—it’s about safety, dignity, and respect. Today, too many women in Wyoming still experience violence. This Sexual Assault Awareness Month, we’re working to build communities where equality truly means safety. Together, we can continue Wyoming’s legacy of leadership and create a safer future for everyone.

It is estimated that 80% of sexual assault goes unreported. At Crisis Intervention Services, we want to take the time to recognize the survivors of sexual assault in the month of April and beyond. We admire your strength and whether you have reported it or not, we are here for you.

‼ IMPORTANT UPDATE ‼

The City is aware that many areas of town are experiencing extended power outages due to the high winds. At this time, outages are expected to continue the rest of the day and into tonight as crews work safely to repair the damage.

Please stay clear of any downed power lines and assume they are energized. If you see smoke or fire, call emergency services immediately. Be advised that there could be road closures due to fallen trees.

We also ask for your patience with our phone lines at City Hall, as we are experiencing a high volume of calls.
