VSU's Small Farm Orientation is a virtual program on Tuesday, September 15, from 5:00pm-7:00pm through Virtual Microsoft Teams. This two-hour online course is for new farmers with zero to five years of experience operating a farm. Ben Dukes, small farm agent for the VSU Small Farm Outreach Program, and Dr. Nartea, extension specialist for VSU Integrated Marketing Program, will walk attendees through the process of how to develop a productive and profitable farm.

Powhatan VCE will be collecting labeled pesticides for disposal between September 14-16, 2026, between the hours of 9AM-5PM at the Powhatan VCE Office (3910 Old Buckingham Road, Suite B. Powhatan, Virginia 23139)

This program is open to homeowners, farmers, landscapers, governmental agencies, and pest control professionals

Please fill out registration information using the following link before dropping off your pesticide(s)https://www.vdacs.virginia.gov/pdf/pesticide-disposal-registration.pdf

We reserve the right to reject collecting a product at our own discretion.

Below is a list of all acceptable and unacceptable products.
