June is Dairy Month!!
Powhatan’s 4-H Dairy Judging team traveled to Oakmulgee Dairy Farm in Amelia last week for an on-site practice. The youth judged two classes of dairy cows and also practiced giving reasons to Coach Albert Tucker. His daughter, Ava, a former team member, also volunteered with several practices while home after completing her first year at Virginia Tech. We are grateful for the knowledge they bring to our youth! Thank you to the Moyer family for setting up classes of cattle for the team to judge at their beautiful farm.

Good luck to three of our team members traveling to Blacksburg for the State FFA Convention where they’ll compete in dairy judging! Powhatan County Public Schools Powhatan County, Virginia
