Wow, what a great turnout! We want to extend a massive THANK YOU to everyone in our amazing community who came out to support the Poynette Police Department at our event last night. Your continued support reminds us why we love serving this community. It's because of a great community we can offer things like a Community engagement trailer and continue to have K9 Nox and Officer Reinhart up to date with training and equipment.

Reminder about the Bike Rodeo tomorrow from 10a-12p. We will have the community events trailer set up along with a demo from a Wisconsin State Patrol Motor Unit and a BMX Demo. We hope to see you all there!

Get ready to join us for annual Bike Rodeo! We have some really cool things planned this year. We will have a Motor Unit from the Wisconsin State Patrol coming along with a very skilled BMX Rider to do demonstrations for the kids! We also have a ton of Bikes and accessories to give away!

**** NEWS RELEASE/DRUG ARREST ****

On Wednesday, June 3rd, 2026, at approximately 1:14pm, Officers from the Poynette Police Department made consensual contact with a vehicle parked in the Family Dollar Parking lot after noticing the distinct odor of ma*****na emitting from that vehicle.

A probable cause search was conducted on this vehicle and the male passenger, identified to be Brent Alen Schulenberg, age 55, who is a Wisconsin resident was arrested.

He made an initial appearance in Columbia County Circuit Court on June 5th after being charged by the Columbia County District Attorney's Office with the following:

Count 1- 961.41(1m)(e)4 Possess w/Intent-Amphetamine/Methamphetamine/etc.(>50g) Felony C
Modifier: 939.62(1)(c) Repeater
Modifier: 961.49(1m)(b)6 Possession with Intent to Deliver/Distribute a Controlled Substance On or Near a School

Count 2- 961.41(1m)(cm)2 Possess w/Intent-Cocaine (>5-15g) Felony E
Modifier: 939.62(1)(c) Repeater

Brent Schulenburg was given an $5,000 signature bond and remains in the Columbia County Jail on a Probation and Parole hold.

I’d say our little event was a great start for what’s to come! There were a few hurdles that we had to get over and will still have to figure out but it was a huge success! Thank you to 51 Mobil, Corizon Counceling, Badger Wellness, D&G Meats and I39 supply for helping make this dream become a reality! We are super excited for the future of this trailer.

Poynette and Arlington Communities! The events trailer is complete and ready to go, so with that being said we will have the trailer set up at Pauquette Park tonight before the Movies in the Park Event from 4pm-5:30pm. We will have plenty of refreshments and we will also be grilling brats and burgers! The refreshments and food are totally free and donated for the first event but we will gladly take any donations to help support the future of the trailer. We would also love to have any feedback from everyone on how we can make this trailer any better than it already is. We want everyone who can make it to come out and check this trailer out and see all the hard work that the officers did to make this thing as great as it is! We hope to see everyone out at the park tonight!

Good afternoon Poynette and Arlington communities! We are so excited to share our brand new community events trailer! Once this trailer is done it will be equipped with two large tv's, an X-box, Playstation, Dart board, basketball hoop, awesome lighting and many, many other fun activities for the kiddos in Poynette and Arlington to hang out and engage with the officers. This has been a project that has been in the making for quite some time and Chief Duell and the officers will be working very hard to get this thing fully functional and up and running just in time for school to get out for the summer so we can hang out. We are planning on having our first event at the 51 Mobil Gas Station as they were so inclined to sponsor the propane needed for our grill. Yes, we have a grill, ready to make some brats and hot dogs for the kids to enjoy while they hang out with us. We would like to send a huge shoutout to I39 SUPPLY for their hard work getting this done and for their sponsorship. We are looking for a couple of other businesses in the villages that wish to be sponsors as well and we have just enough room for a couple more stickers. Please reach out to Chief Duell if you wish to sponsor something in the trailer and we will add your business logo on the back of the trailer. We will keep the community posted when our first pop-up event will be.
