These grassfed market steers were happy to be moved to a new pasture today. Many of them are in the final finishing stage of their production cycle. This is when the majority of the intramuscular fat (marbling) will be gained.

The cattle are very pleased with the conditions on the Mckenzie Preserve this year. Added cross fencing will help to continue the transition of the site to a healthy, productive and diverse annual grassland understory. Riparian fencing on the preserve is also set to mitigate erosion, improve soils and enhance riparian vegetation.
