Pratt County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a Deputy Sheriff

DUTIES:

Essential Duties Are:

Enforcement of State Law and County Resolutions. Road officers will be responsible for Traffic enforcement, investigation of traffic accidents and criminal offenses, serving civil process and all other tasks as directed by the Sheriff.

Position of Salary/Benefits:

Starting salary is $20.50 dollars an hour with no experience, Salary can be adjusted for Certified Officers with experience and training $21.00 to $27.50 per hour. BCBS insurance and dental available through the County. County paid partial premium available packages vary. Vacation and Sick time. KPERS Retirement. Must be able to work 12 hour shifts, which includes days, nights, weekends and holidays. We provide all uniforms and equipment, Duty pistol, shotgun, rifle, taser, and take home vehicle, Take home cars require in county residence.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must 21 and be able to have a valid Kansas driver’s license. High school diploma or GED, supplemented with formal training in Law Enforcement Training (CPost or KLETC Certification). No Felony or Serious misdemeanor convictions. Pratt County is an Equal Opportunity Employer

Six candidates are filed for the Pratt City Commission Race. Since it is a non-partisan race and the are no more than 3 candidates per position, this race will not be on the August Primary Ballot. They will be on the General Election on November 3.
