Warm summer nights are perfect for roasting marshmallows, sharing spooky ghost stories and reminiscing with loved ones—but a fun night around the fire can quickly become dangerous without proper safety protocols.

🔥 Make sure your fire pit is in an open area away from trees, buildings and power lines.
🔥 Keep a shovel and water close. In an emergency, use the water to quench the fire and the shovel to smother the flames with dirt.
🔥 Never leave a fire unattended. Pour water over live embers and turn the logs to make sure all sides of the wood have stopped burning.
