Remember to hydrate out there! And that means water…not beer/liquor, coffee, soda or energy drinks, kids! And if you feel tap water/bottled water is too spendy, there are plenty of artesian wells in the city where you can fill up for free! Been told it’s the “best water there ever was”.

BARTLETT POLICE DEPARTMENT, our social media guy was on vacation in your area and paid your crib a visit. Very clean, very demure, excellent aura…would visit again. Also, he (I) may or may not have thrown Moon Pies and/or Cracker Barrel biscuits under your parked squad car tires.

Today, we celebrate Memorial Day...a very somber but joyful day where we honor the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service for the country they so loved and what we enjoy every day. Think today about the virtues we celebrate on Memorial Day: service, sacrifice, loyalty. Stay conscious of those virtues today and make the extra effort to demonstrate them. While we can never bring back our fallen warriors, but we can honor them in our daily actions. Take a minute today to stop and really think about what this day is about... to give our fallen soldiers the recognition they deserve.

“Our flag does not fly because the wind moves it, it flies with the last breath of each soldier who died protecting it.” – Unknown

The PD Records/Admin and Investigative offices will be closed today, but our Front Desk is always open and our Patrol division is available any time.

As always, call us if you should need us.

🇺🇸🚗 Memorial Day Weekend Safety 🇺🇸🚗

While we want people celebrating this weekend to have a great time, we ALSO want to make they are safe and get to where they're going safe. Memorial Day Weekend kicks off the "100 Deadly Days of Summer", from Memorial Day to Labor Day, where traffic accident fatalities are the most prevalent. This is is especially true for alcohol-related motor vehicle accidents, which historically accounts for approx. 37% of all accidents for the entire year (injuryfacts.nsc.org).

Please see the reminders below to keep in mind as we begin the 2026 summer season. If you witness any driving behavior that may due to impaired driving, call 911 so law enforcement can locate, observe, and check on the driver, if needed.

Congratulations to all the Prattville High School graduates of Class 2026 tonight as they walk along those final rows of seats and upon the stage that launches them into adulthood! May your futures be ever bright and full of adventure as you go forth along your journeys!

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” — Mark Twain

"If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.” — Henry David Thoreau, "Walden"

"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." — Ferris Bueller, "Ferris Bueller's Day Off"

(And just saying, you can always come see us in a couple years if you find yourself back home and want a career in law enforcement 😎)

For those attending the ceremony, make sure to arrive early for parking and abide by the clear bag policy set by Prattville High School. Also, if you are unable to attend, Prattville Alive will be streaming the ceremony on their YouTube channel.
