Arrowhead families,
I wanted to share with you some changes that have been made to the calendar for this 24-25 school year. With the first 3 PIR days being used as outside professional development for the Literacy Grant and the fact that the majority of our staff are new teachers, I have added August 19th as a PIR day not a student day. 4th-8th grade students will begin school on August 20th with a 1:30 pm dismissal. I believe we are better together, so we will be welcoming our PK-3rd grade students on September 3rd. This still allows us 2 weeks to invite our PK/K families into the school to meet their new teacher and complete a benchmark screener for the new Early Literacy program. Adjustments have been to the activity day Fridays for our 4th-8th grade students. We have added 4 activity days throughout the school year to allow for our students to be released for summer break 1 week earlier than originally planned. We, as a whole school community, will be released for summer break on June 5, 2025. Our students and staff are always the focus of any decision that is made at Arrowhead! I am looking forward to the many wonderful learning opportunities our students will receive at Arrowhead this school year!
