Preble Fire department is proud to announce that Mike Potter has successfully completed a significant training milestone, marking a major step in his service to our community.

Their achievement reflects over 168 hours of prerequisite first aid, CPR, and FEMA ICS courses, as well as classroom instruction, hands‑on skills, and scenario‑based exercises designed to prepare him for the challenges of fire and rescue services.

Tonight Chief Ryne Austin and Past Chief Jeff Griswold were in attendance at Cortlandville Fire Department/ Cortland County Regional Training Center as FF Potter received his certificates.

So please join us in congratulating Mike Potter on his achievement and dedication to his community.

Our chicken BBQs do more than fill your plate- they help fund lifesaving equipment, firefighter training, and the tools we rely on every single call. Every meal makes a difference, and we couldn’t do it without you.

the 50/50 was drawn and Jennifer George was the winner of 105.50 and she donated it back to the ladies auxiliary!!! Thank you Jenn!

Preble has a new driver! Congrats Kyle Christy on completing the EVOC class and putting in the time to keep preble safe! 🚒🚒🚒🚒🚒🚒

Thank you Tully for hosting this training!

Thank you to ESIP - Emergency Services Insurance Program for teaching an EVOC class at Tully. Also, thank you to our Tully Hose Company Auxiliary for providing lunch.

Several of our members were in attendance and this class helped get new apparatus operators an insight of the responsibilities of being a driver. It also helped refresh important driving skills to the experienced membership.

Preble Fire Department was dispatched to a brush fire at a residence on East Hill Rd. While waiting for additional apparatus to arrive members started a bucket brigade (pictured is FF Mike Duvall & FF Mike Potter). Fire was extinguished once a tanker arrived on scene. We would like to remind everyone that there is a statewide burn ban from March 16th through May 14th. Thank you!
