The English 11 classes had the opportunity to hear from Alexis Nash as part of their study of the book Just Mercy. Since the class has been exploring several court cases featured in the book, students were excited to connect their learning to real-life experiences in the legal field.

Alexis shared about her background growing up in Milwaukee, her experience practicing law there, and her current role as the Price County District Attorney after being appointed by Governor Tony Evers.

Students were highly engaged throughout the visit and asked many thoughtful questions. Thank you, Alexis, for taking the time to speak with our students and bring their learning to life!

"Deb is often the first voice or face people encounter when reaching out to our school. She knows everything going on in the building or will find out for you. She is always there to offer a smile or comedic relief in any situation. Deb knows the connections between students, families, and community members and goes above and beyond her secretary duties every day."

Thursday is her birthday! Join us in thanking Deb and wishing her a very happy birthday! 🎉
