🌟 ** Jefferson Davis County 4-H at 2026 State Congress! ** 🌟
Our outstanding youth delegates just returned from the 2026 4-H State Congress, and we could not be prouder! Held from May 27–29, this intensive 3-day, 2-night event brings together top youth from across Mississippi to compete, build leadership skills, explore careers, and experience college life. Our delegates stepped up, worked hard, and represented Jefferson Davis County with absolute excellence.
Here is a look at what our amazing youth accomplished and enjoyed during their time on campus:
🎨 Keyshun Brown
Keyshun showcased his talents in the Visual Presentation Contest. He also enjoyed the creative Brush Bash painting workshop, took a unique flight tour with RASPIT, and went behind the scenes at the MSU Athletic Tour of Davis Wade Stadium!
👗 Amber McKinley
Amber brought her style and leadership to the Modeling Squad. She also participated in the Brush Bash painting workshop, dove into business concepts in the Entrepreneurship workshop, and sharpened her leadership in the Team Building workshop.
🌸 Kelzey Winborn
Kelzey also shined in the Modeling Squad and let her creativity bloom in the Floral Design workshop. She explored agricultural careers during the Rural Vet Tour and collaborated with peers in the Team Building workshop.
🗳️ Charles Hicks II
Charles ran an incredible, high-energy campaign for 4-H State Secretary! He also competed in the Health Visual Presentation contest and participated in the cookie decorating, entrepreneurship, and team building workshops.

We are thrilled to announce that Charles was officially selected as a 2026-2027 4-H State Ambassador! He will spend the next year representing 4-H across the entire state. To make this achievement even sweeter, he was awarded a brand-new laptop to support his educational and leadership journey. Way to go, Charles!
🏃♂️ County-Wide Highlights
In addition to their individual tracks, all of our delegates participated in the massive College & Career Fair to plan for their futures. They also teamed up for the high-energy County Olympics, which wrapped up with an unforgettable, colorful Color Fun Run! Thank you, Keyshun, Amber, Kelzey, and Charles, for stepping up, leading by example. You are the true definition of making the best better! 🍀✨
