Our Mighty Oaks took on the Pumpkin Patch this week with enthusiasm and excitement! Sources say they were so well behaved and had so much fun, that they got multiple shoutouts from Mortimer Farms employees and other adults throughout the week we visited!
There really is nothing like the feeling you get, as a teacher, when you’re told repeatedly how well your students are doing from strangers. It’s like the ultimate pat on the back! So here’s a BIG shoutout to you Mighty Oaks! We are so proud of you and we loved making these Autumn memories with you. We also want to say Congratulations to our amazing teachers and staff that have been working so hard to make these kids feel happy, safe, and heard. It was so much fun, we should do it again every year! 🥰🎟️☀️🌳🍁🌽🚜🎃🍂🫶🏻✨

“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” — Helen Keller.

Food is our common ground, and no one should go without it. We are collecting non-perishable food items to help fill local pantries and support families in our community. Join us in the fight against hunger by dropping off a donation. Thank you, Mighty Oaks. Have a lovely Monday! 🩵

Just an average day in 7th grade!
Catch us being silly, working hard, and trying some hands-on science experiments! 🤪💪🏼📝👩🏻‍🔬🧑🏼‍🔬☀️

Sometimes the most important thing we can do is know how to help. 🌈 ☀️

We encourage our families, especially those with students in 4th–8th grade, to join us for this free community presentation focused on recognizing warning signs, having difficult conversations, and supporting those who may be struggling.

While especially valuable for families navigating the pr***en and teen years, everyone is welcome!

Snacks and drinks will be provided as well as an assignment pass/ extra credit!

Please come and show your support. We would appreciate it so much and we know these kids will definitely benefit too.

Never forget, that here at Acorn, You matter so much to us and we cherish everyday we get to spend together! As always, have fun, be safe, and we’ll see you there. 🤍

Sixth grade looks so fun, I’d like to go back and have Ms. Tiffani and Ms. Ariel as teachers! With all the creative ways Ms. Tiffani gets the class to engage fully with math, I think I’d have gotten a better grade! 😂 From chalk equations outside to shaving cream on the desks, who says middle school can’t have just as much fun as the little ones??
We hope everyone is enjoying their Fall Break and getting all the rest and relaxation they need and are making some new memories with family and friends.
We are so excited to see everyone back to school on Monday! Have fun, Be safe and We’ll see you soon 🩵

BOOK BLAST RESULTS ARE IN! 💥 📖 📚 ✨🥳
Hey there Mighty Oaks! We are just SO proud of all of you and the way you stepped up and participated in this year’s book blast event because it was a tremendous success! We raised just shy of $44,000 and what that means is that all students received a minimum of 4 books each! (Even the kiddos who weren’t able to participate got books!) Over 30,000 books were delivered to go home with students just before fall break began! We want to thank all our students, families, and staff that took the time to promote our Book Blast Event and We’d like to give a HIGE shoutout to Ms. Jennie for organizing this and putting so much time, energy, and heart into bringing more books into the hands of students and sharing her love of reading with them all. The students had a blast opening up their books and spending some time reading and sharing with friends and we are grateful to have been able to celebrate with them. Thank you all so much! We did it!

Our Mighty Oak Cheerleading team is looking so good with their clean routines, stunts, and amazing chants. The way they put the pep in all of our steps, while cheering on our flag football team, was one for the books! Shoutout to their amazing coaches, Ms. Wallace and Ms. Kayla!

Today’s fun little video is serving as a HUGE shoutout to our amazing office staff. We are beyond grateful for all the hard work they do (seen and unseen) and the dedication to the success of our school. Taking over the office ‘real quick’ while they go put out metaphorical fires throughout the day is no easy task! It seems simple enough until you’re in the trenches and there’s no one else around to help you out. 😂😭
So for that we want to say THANK YOU to Ms. Cathy, Ms. Olivia, Ms. Amanda, Ms. Courtney, Ms. Melody, Ms. Jen and Ms. G. You guys really are some of our biggest superheroes!
Even though it’s officially Fall Break and the schools are closed, our office heroes will still be around to answer and return your calls for any questions or concerns that might come up! Happy Friday, Happy Fall Break, and don’t forget to have fun, be safe, and we’ll see ya later!🫶🏻✨🍂🩵
