Celebrate National Night Out with Your Neighborhood

The Prescott Valley Police Department and Town officials invite residents to participate in National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. Throughout the evening, Town officials and Police Department personnel will visit neighborhoods and homes hosting National Night Out gatherings to meet with residents, answer questions, and strengthen community relationships.

Unlike traditional formal events, this year’s National Night Out will focus on casual neighborhood gatherings and conversations. Residents are encouraged to host block parties, barbecues, potlucks, games, and music to bring neighbors together in a fun and welcoming environment.

Residents interested in hosting a National Night Out gathering are encouraged to register online: prescottvalley-az.gov/nno

If you have any questions, please email Desiree Kelly at [email protected].

Arrest Made in Two Indecent Exposure Investigations

On May 25, 2026, the Prescott Valley Police Department arrested a 64-year-old male Spring Valley resident on an indecent exposure charge after an incident occurred at Walmart in Prescott Valley. That arrest led investigators to a prior incident at Hobby Lobby, which revealed an additional offense, resulting in a second arrest on May 27, 2026. Following these investigations, he was booked into the Yavapai County Jail on charges of Indecent Exposure and Sexual Indecency.

At this time, investigators believe there may be additional incidents or victims that have not yet been reported. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Detective Caswell at 928-772-5133 or through Yavapai County Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232.

The Prescott Valley Police Department recognizes that incidents of this nature can be difficult to report. We are committed to supporting anyone affected and encourage individuals to come forward so detectives can investigate any additional incidents. Our hope is that by continuing this investigation, we can provide answers, support, and a sense of closure to anyone who may have been victimized.

Residents are reminded to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
