Fire danger remains high to extreme across the state, with burn bans now in effect for many counties. Our crews, in partnership with local fire departments and state and federal agencies, will continue monitoring and responding to fires statewide.

We urge all Arkansans to stay aware of the ongoing fire risks and avoid outdoor burning to help prevent additional fires.

Yesterday around 2:30 pm FairHills responded to a shop on fire on Nevada 61. Shop was a total loss. Fire also spread through the woods burning approximately 5 acres of under brush. Nevada County Fire & Rescue and Redland Fire Department responded as mutual aid. Arkansas Forestry Division also assisted.

At approximately 11:39AM we responded to a call for a house fire. Thankfully no one was home and no one was injured. The fire was extinguished without incident. Big thanks to Laneburg Fire Department, FairHills Fire Department , Emmet Fire Department and Redland Fire department for assisting!

Yesterday evening Fairhills VFD responded to a hay fire along 67 north. Redland Fire Department , Nevada County Fire & Rescue , and Prescott, Arkansas - City Fire Department were also on scene.
