FIRE SAFETY TIP OF THE DAY
Have you checked the age of your smoke detectors lately?
Smoke detectors should be replaced every 10 years, even if they appear to be working properly.
Take a few minutes today to check the date on the back of each detector. If it is 10 years old or older, it’s time to replace it.
A working smoke detector can make the difference between getting out safely and not getting out at all.
Check it. Test it. Replace it. Stay safe!

🇺🇸 Remembering Viggo Nelson
On August 4, 1914, Viggo Nelson was born.
Viggo was the uncle of Presque Isle Fire Department Assistant Chief Jim Nelson and a World War II veteran. Today, in his honor, his flag is proudly flying over the Presque Isle Fire Department.
We remember and honor Viggo Nelson for his service, his sacrifice, and his connection to our fire department and community.

Join us on Saturday, August 1, for the Presque Isle Fire Department Picnic!
The parade kicks off at 5:15 p.m., followed by an evening of fun for the whole family. We look forward to seeing friends, neighbors, and visitors come together to enjoy this great community tradition.

Congratulations to our raffle winners!
At the Presque Isle Fire Department's monthly meeting on Tuesday, July 7, two handcrafted wooden flags were raffled off to support our departments.

Last week, the Presque Isle, Boulder Junction, Manitowish Waters, and Arbor Vitae Fire Departments participated in a joint water movement training exercise. The training provided an excellent opportunity for members from all four departments to work together, strengthen interagency cooperation, and enhance their skills in water shuttle operations and rural water supply. We appreciate the dedication of everyone involved and the commitment to ensuring the highest level of service for our communities.
