We’re proud to share information from 12 Months of April, a local advocacy project focused on supporting First Responders and individuals with special needs.

This initiative helps raise awareness about important, free programs available to residents, including:
• Yellow Dot
• Project Lifesaver
• Allegheny County Premise Alert / Special Needs Registry

These programs provide critical information to first responders during emergencies and can make a real difference when seconds matter.

12 Months of April also creates and donates Sensory Kits for first responders to carry in their vehicles to help individuals who may be overwhelmed during emergency situations.

We encourage families and community members to review the attached flyer and consider enrolling in these programs if they apply to you or your loved ones.

Thank you to 12 Months of April for helping bridge the gap through education, awareness, and support.

The Collier Township Police Department is proud to welcome our newest officers to the force: Officer Prince, Officer Nero, and Officer Smolka.

Each brings years of valuable experience, including service with the City of Pittsburgh and the Ohio State Police. Their knowledge, professionalism, and commitment to service will be a great asset as they join us in keeping Collier Township safe.

Road closure announcement!

Nike Site Road between Thoms Run Road and Gregg Station Road will be closed for several hours due to a traffic accident.  Duquesne Light is on scene replacing the utility pole.

🎄👮‍♂️ SHOP WITH A COP 2025! 👮‍♀️🎄
Today was one of those days that reminds us exactly why we serve.

Officers from Collier Township Police, along with our partners from Scott Township, Heidelberg, and Bridgeville, teamed up to bring some holiday magic to the incredible Life Skills students of Chartiers Valley Primary, Intermediate, Middle, and High School.

We started the morning at Walmart, where students and officers shopped side-by-side, sharing laughs, stories, and more than a few full shopping carts. Afterwards, everyone headed to Chartiers Valley Primary School, where we wrapped up the day with an awesome after-party—complete with cookies, crafts, and a visit from Santa himself. 🎅✨

Events like this are possible because of the strong partnership between our communities, our schools, and our officers. We’re grateful for every smile, every high-five, and every moment shared today.

Thank you to everyone who helped make Shop With a Cop unforgettable. ❤️💙

🚁 Exciting News!

Please welcome your new Collier Township Police Department Drone Team! Officer Ciaramello and Officer Blum are now operating our UAS (Unmanned Aircraft System) program, using drones to help keep our community safe, informed, and supported.

From search and rescue and special events, we’re here to bring a safer and more efficient approach to public safety. Looking forward to serving our community from a whole new perspective!

Earlier this week, students at the Primary School learned about police officers, what they do in our community, and when it’s appropriate to call 911. 👮‍♂️🚓
It was a great opportunity to build trust, answer questions, and remind our youngest Colts that officers are always here to help!
