🎉 Sometimes the best calls for service are the ones that simply make a kid’s day. 🚔💙

This past weekend, members of our department had the opportunity to stop by Hilltop Park for a very special birthday celebration!

Vallon “Figgy” Buchko turned 4 years old, and when his parents, Bear and Juliane, planned his police-themed birthday party, they reached out to local departments and invited us to be part of the celebration.

Needless to say, we were more than happy to answer the call! 👮‍♂️🚔

Officers stopped by to meet Figgy and his friends, check out the police-themed games and investigation, enjoy some birthday treats, and, of course, make sure those police sirens were put to good use! 🚨🎂🍩

It was awesome seeing the excitement on the kids’ faces and getting the opportunity to interact with the next generation of our community.

Happy 4th Birthday, Figgy! Thank you for inviting us to be part of your special day. We hope you had an unforgettable birthday!

🖤 Remembering Officer David J. Brown 🖤

Tonight, the Collier Township Police Department had the honor of dedicating Officer David J. Brown to the memorial wall at the Collier Township Municipal Building. His family was present for the ceremony and had the honor of placing his memorial plate on the wall.

Sadly, on November 30, 2021, Officer Brown’s time with us came to an end while he was still an active member of our department. His passing left a void that can never be filled.

Today, as his name is placed on this memorial wall, we remember not only the officer he was, but the husband, father, friend, and colleague he was to so many.

The memories he created, the lives he touched, the laughter he shared, and the service he gave will remain with us.

We honor his service.
We remember his sacrifice.
We celebrate his life.
And we will never forget his name.

Your name and legacy will forever remain a part of the Collier Township Police Department. 🖤🇺🇸

Tonight, the Collier Township Police Department had the privilege of honoring three of our officers for their outstanding actions during three separate incidents.

All three officers were presented with Letters of Recognition at tonight’s Board of Commissioners meeting in appreciation of their professionalism, dedication, and commitment to serving the Collier Township community.

We are proud to have officers who consistently go above and beyond to protect and serve our residents. Their actions are a great reflection of the values and dedication of the entire Collier Township Police Department.

Shots Fired Incident on North Gray and Vanadium Road – Suspect in Custody

On Monday, August 10, 2026, at approximately 1:34 AM, officers from the Collier Township Police Department were dispatched to the area of North Gray and the 600 block of Vanadium Road for reports of shots fired.

Upon arrival, responding officers determined that the involved suspect had retreated into his home on Vanadium Road. Due to the suspect remaining inside the residence the Allegheny County SWAT team was requested to respond.

After multiple attempts to communicate with the individual inside, he finally exited the home and was taken into custody.

The male will be charged with Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Simple Assault, and other applicable charges. The investigation remains ongoing and additional charges may be filed.

I would like to commend the swift and coordinated efforts of the Collier Township officers, assisting mutual aid agencies in resolving this incident safely and without injury to residents, suspects or responding personnel.

No further information will be released as this time as the investigation continues.

The Collier Township Police Department is requesting assistance from our community to help locate a missing/stolen pet Tortoise named Charlie.

Charlie was taken on 08/03/2026 at approximately 1700 hours in the area of Noblestown Road and Columbia Ave.
It is possible the actor involved was driving a white sedan.
