Join the Town of Preston as we work on becoming Sustainable Maryland Certified!

Green Team training this week: Thursday 8/27 at 1:00 PM!

Interested but can't attend this training? Email us at [email protected].

The Town of Preston is working on becoming Sustainable Maryland Certified. We are looking for volunteers to join our GREEN TEAM!

What is a GREEN TEAM?
A GREEN TEAM is a group consisting of a mix of elected officials, municipal staff, community residents, and local organizations. GREEN TEAMS use the skills, expertise, and life experience of team members to develop policies and plans, implement programs, and assist with educational and volunteer opportunities that support the creation of a sustainable community. The role of the GREEN TEAM is to assist in the coordination and implementation of the sustainability activities in the community. The creation of a GREEN TEAM is an essential step towards Sustainable Maryland Certification because having an entity dedicated to sustainability will increase the municipalityโ€™s capacity to implement other Sustainable Maryland Actions.

Call (410-673-7929) or email ([email protected]) with questions or for more information.

We hope to see you at our GREEN TEAM training this August!
