Widespread showers and thunderstorms will develop during the day Monday, continuing at times through at least mid-week. Despite antecedent dry conditions, these thunderstorms may produce locally excessive rainfall capable of causing problems for areas prone to high water.

2:45PM- All Middle Creek Fire units have cleared the scene near Richardson Branch and have extinguished two spot fires that unfortunately had potential to become large fires but units arrived on scene fast enough to extinguish them.

*BRUSH FIRE LOCATION UPDATE: This could possibly be in the area of KY-114 near Richardson Branch just west of Ruff & Tuff.

BRUSH FIRE: KY114/RUFF & TUFF:

Middle Creek Fire units are responding to a brush fire / smoke on the side of the roadway in the area of the entrance to Ruff & Tuff Branch on KY-114. Please use caution if traveling in the area and be aware of emergency response.
