Hi everyone! My name is Kassidy Hansen, and I’m honored to serve as the Chair of the Price City Library Board!

I’m passionate about helping our library continue to be a welcoming place where our community can learn, connect, and grow. I’m hoping we can continue supporting literacy, creating fun opportunities for kids and families, and helping our library better serve everyone, I’m excited to be part of that mission!

Outside of the library, I’m a licensed beauty professional at Bellasano Salon and spa in Price, located just west of the library! I’m also a mom to two beautiful boys, so I understand how valuable our local library is for families. From story times and summer reading to books, technology, and community programs, our library has so much to offer.

I’d love to hear your ideas, suggestions, and feedback! My goal is to help make sure our library continues to meet the needs of our community. Feel free to reach out with questions, ideas, or ways you’d like to see the library grow.

I’m looking forward to serving our community and working alongside our amazing library staff, board members, and all of you.

I am thrilled to announce that the Price City Library's float won the Chairman's Choice award today at the International Days grand parade.

I would like to introduce Debbie, a member of the Price City Library Board.

The library board is a group of community members that helps support our public library by sharing public feedback, suggesting new services, and advocating for the library budget. They serve as an important bridge between local citizens and city or county leaders.

Debbie Marvidikis holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and has dedicated her career to improving the health and well-being of rural communities. She is the founder of the Hope Squad of Carbon, Emery, and Grand Counties, a su***de prevention initiative that has made a lasting impact throughout southeastern Utah. Debbie currently serves on the Price City Library Board, where she continues to support education, literacy, and community engagement.
Debbie has been instrumental in advancing su***de prevention, opioid overdose prevention, harm reduction, and community wellness initiatives. She established a state-registered Harm Reduction Program serving Carbon, Emery, and Grand Counties.
She is certified as a Harm Reduction Specialist, HIV/HCV Counseling and To***co prevention educator, Certified car seat technician and Master Trainer in su***de prevention, Debbie has received numerous awards recognizing her leadership and innovation, including the Safe States Award for Innovative Initiatives in Su***de Prevention and Violence and Injury Prevention, as well as lifetime achievement award from the Utah Rural Healthcare Consortium for her work surrounding public health programs.
A respected speaker and educator, Debbie has presented at state and national conferences on su***de prevention, opioid overdose prevention, harm reduction, and rural public health programs. Debbie remains committed to strengthening rural communities through public advocacy, education, collaboration, and service.

Price City has determined that it will allow fireworks in most areas of the city for the 24th of July ONLY. All other days surrounding the holiday are not open to personal fireworks due to drought and limited resources.

The map with the restricted areas can be found below.

We are also restricting any personal fireworks within 200 feet of vacant lots, open fields, or dry vegetation to minimize fire risk. Use all personal fireworks responsibly.

When handling fireworks, always prioritize adult supervision, maintain a clear 50-foot safety perimeter from spectators and flammable materials, and keep a bucket of water or a charged garden hose nearby. Never hold lit fireworks in your hands or attempt to relight "duds"—soak them in water instead.

Price City will have free 5-gallon buckets available at the Price City library for our residents to soak their used fireworks after lighting. Remember leave them soaking overnight.

If you choose to use fireworks, please exercise extreme caution and act responsibly. Individuals will be held legally and financially accountable for any damages resulting from their handling of fireworks.

This is for Price City limits only. Unincorporated areas in the county are still under Stage 2 restrictions. No fireworks are allowed in those areas. If you live outside of Price City limits, please check your area for updated restrictions.
