We were excited to welcome Chloe Franklin and Jordan Tinnell from Lemoine to Faulkner Career Tech Center’s Summer Camp this week!

Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences and introduce our students to the exciting career opportunities available in the construction and project management industries. Students learned about Lemoine’s work on major projects across the Gulf Coast and participated in engaging, hands-on lessons focused on workplace safety, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and the importance of creating a safe work environment.

Experiences like these help our students connect classroom learning to real careers and gain valuable insight into the skills employers are looking for. We appreciate Lemoine’s partnership and commitment to inspiring the next generation of workforce leaders!

What a fantastic week at the Faulkner Career Tech Center Summer Camp! 🎉

Our middle school students had the opportunity to explore a variety of Career and Technical Education pathways through hands-on activities and real-world learning experiences. Campers learned about Early Childhood Education, Automotive Technology, Collision Repair, Information Technology, Health Science, Cosmetology, and Construction while building new skills, solving problems, and discovering potential future careers.

From working with tools and technology to exploring healthcare and education careers, students stayed engaged and excited all week long. We are proud to provide opportunities that connect classroom learning to future career possibilities right here in Mobile County.

Thank you to our instructors, staff, and industry partners who helped make this an incredible week of learning, exploration, and fun!

Today, middle school students participating in our Faulkner Career Tech Center Summer Camp had an incredible opportunity to experience career exploration in action!

Students visited Flight Works Alabama and toured Airbus, where they learned how the Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs available in high school connect directly to exciting careers in our local industries, including aviation, advanced manufacturing, engineering, and technology.

Through hands-on activities and real-world exposure, students gained valuable insight into the pathways that can lead from the classroom to high-demand careers right here in Mobile.

A special thank you to the amazing team at Flight Works Alabama for providing such an engaging and inspiring experience for our students. We appreciate your partnership in helping the next generation discover their future possibilities!

Mia Lopez Martinez, Faulkner Career Technical Center's Learning Leading Award winner, is president of the school's SkillsUSA chapter and was the 2025 SkillsUSA state champion for Customer Service. She’s also a skilled designer, with certification in Adobe Illustrator. She always goes above and beyond in her work, and looks to help other students with their projects.
