Road Closure:

Pride Baywood Road and Carson is still closed this morning. With more rain on the way they will remain closed all day. Please do not move the barricades or go around them and drive in high water.

Update 5:00am 6/18/26: Carson and Pride Baywood is closed.
Update 4:30 PM: Carson Road is open as of now 
Update 2:17pm: Greenwell Springs is back open

Road Closures:
27207 Greenwell Springs Road is closed between Sandy Creek Bridge and Alfonse FORBES due to a pipe that blew out. DOTD is working on it now unknown how long it will take. Pride Baywood Road is underwater at the bridges by Pride One stop . Carson is underwater at Mill Creek at this time as well. Barricades are in place please do not remove them. Or go around, one vehicle is stalled out now with crews on the way to help.

Carson road is currently closed due to a downed tree and powerlines in the 21400-23998 block. Please avoid the area. DPW IN ENROUTE.

Your members of the Pride Fire Dept. Along with Zachary Fire Department, Chaneyville Fire Department, the East Baton Rouge Sheriffs Office, East Baton Rouge Parish Emergency Medical Services, and Acadian Air Med helped the student’s of Northeast High School 7-12 film a commercial for the “Arrive alive program” teaching students about the  consequences of underage, drinking and driving. This was a competition for other schools in East Baton Rouge Parish. We are excited to say Northeast High won first place! This commercial will be televised nationwide. Please share this and talk to your kids about the consequences of drinking and driving.

🚒 May 4th was chosen as International FireFighters' Day as it is the feast day of St Florian, the Patron Saint of Firefighters.
St Florian was the first known commander of one firefighting squad in the Roman Empire.
He lost his life, as well as those of his colleagues, for protecting the same humane ideas which Firefighters all over the world share even today.
Happy International Firefighters' Day to Firefighters and their supporters all around the world.

Pride Residents: The bridge on Liberty Rd (LA409) south of Alphonse Forbes Rd will close April 27 for approximately four months for reconstruction.
