Calvert County Office on Aging is an agency whose primary purpose is to empower Calvert County’s older adults by providing a full range of services and programs that will lead to active and healthy lives. Services include:
• Recreation and educational programs held at our three senior centers, North Beach Senior Center, Calvert Pines Senior Center, and Southern Pines Senior Center.
• A congregate
lunch program for older adults ages 60-plus offered at all senior centers and home delivered meals are also available for those who qualify.
• Maryland Access Point information and assistance program to connect seniors with community supports including prescription assistance, help with utilities, housing, transportation, and home health.
• Long-Term Care Services offering case management and ombudsman providing advocacy for long term care residents who reside in nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
• Caregiver support.
• And many other services that promote a healthy lifestyle and self-sufficiency.

TThe Board of County Commissioners meet on Tuesday of each week beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the Chesapeake Hearing Room located on the main floor of the County Administration Building, located at 150 Main St. Evening meetings are scheduled when necessary. All regular or special meetings are open to the public. The Commissioners also meet in Executive Session, as allowed by law.
