4 Regional Champions and 2 4th place finishes. Great weekend for the CHS wrestling team. All 6 athletes qualified for the state tournament next weekend!!!!!

Yesterday the Calvert Softball Team accomplished one of our team goals from the beginning of the season to become SMAC Champions!!!!! These young ladies have worked very hard and committed themselves all year to their craft . We now start the next phase of the journey to get back to the state finals and win a Championship....

Another great weekend for the CHS wrestling team at the Md State Tournament. The program had finished with a 4th place finish ( 1st yr sophomore), a 5th place finish (a 100% committed to his craft Sophomore) and a 6th place ( rising junior). While we took four athletes to States, and all of them collecting wins in the tournament, I am excited and to see the development of these young men ,on and off the mat and very excited to see what the future brings for our program.
I always preach to the kids that there is always a process and success doesn't always come overnight. This sport is one of the most humbling sports in high-school and it will teach you so much about yourself and most importantly about life. So many people always look for instant results instead of trusting the process but I can truly see that the foundation for our program is as strong as its been in while and with a few extra pieces it with return to one of the dominant programs in the conference.
Every yr , for the last 20 yrs I always say that this is my last year . This group of young men have definitely given me the fire and drive to want to coach for 20 more. (Well at least for 2 years....lol)

Another great day of wrestling for the CHS wrestling team!!!! 2 Region CHAMPIONS, 2 Runners-up and 2 alternates.
We have 6 wrestlers headed to States !!!!!! What a great day for the program.

Congratulations to these young men for an outstanding weekend of wrestling. 1-1st, 1-2nd, 2-3rd, 1-4th and a 5th. Great job men, let's bang some heads and get ready for Regionals.

Congratulations to these 5 young men on a very productive day at the Leonardtown JV Tournament. 4 1st place finishes and a 2nd place. Keep putting in the hard work in the wrestling room and the reward will be priceless.
