Maryland Democrats blatantly tried to illegally force an unconstitutional amendment onto the November ballot to legalize extreme partisan gerrymandering.

Last week’s court rulings made clear that the process used to place this amendment on the ballot violated the law and Maryland Constitution. Now, Democrats’ best argument is essentially that they should be allowed to violate the law and Constitution if they want to.

Maryland’s conservative leaders are standing up for the rule of law, and for fair representation, in this week’s anticipated Supreme Court appeal.
