Tax Day is just around the corner. Don’t forget all personal property taxes and the second half of 2026 real estate taxes are due on June 5, 2026! Drop boxes will be closed and secured from 5:00 PM on June 5 until 8:30 AM on June 8.

Questions? Call the Treasurer’s Office at 804-722-8750.

Mailing your taxes? A reminder that the USPS Postmark process has changed!

USPS no longer uses the day mail is dropped off as the postmark date. The new postmark date will be the day your mail is processed, which may be 1–2 days later.

The workaround: Go to your local Post Office counter and request a Manual Postmark to ensure your mail is stamped the same day and your payment is not marked delinquent.

On Tuesday, May 26, the Prince George County Board of Supervisors recognized Christine Collins for her incredible service and the many ways she’s made a difference in our community.

Christine joined the County in 2016 as Payroll Supervisor and quickly became someone we could all count on. Over the past 10 years, she’s built strong relationships with coworkers and residents alike, earning respect through her professionalism, kindness, and steady dedication. She brought care and attention to everything she did, and her positive attitude left a lasting impression on those around her.

Christine’s knowledge, support, and presence will truly be missed. We’re so grateful for her 10 years and 3 months of service, and we wish her nothing but the best as she begins this next chapter.
