As our children head back to school, remember to slow down and be extra cautious near school buses.
When the stop arm is out and red lights are flashing, STOP – it’s the law, and it could save a life.

Your children are as important to the Sheriff’s Office as if they are our own. Let’s all do our part to make sure every child gets to and from school safely. 💛

In the recent past The Prince George Sheriffs’ Office name has used as the front of several scams.

Therefore I have been asked if the letter and brochure that they have received through the mail in reference to donating to the Virginia Sheriffs’ Institute was a scam or if it was legitimate. If you receive a letter in the mail with my picture and signature on it, it is the real deal.

Also I have been asked where does the money go, and what is the money used for. In the brochure there is an explanation on the difference between The Virginia Sheriffs’ Institute and The Virginia Sheriffs’ Association. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me directly at 804-733-2690 EXT. 3001.

I know that I speak for Chief Early when I say, as always, we thank everyone for the support both for the sheriffs’ office and the police department.
