On 20 May, the Southern Virginia Chapter AUSA hosted leaders on Fort Lee and welcomed retired TRADOC Command Sergeant Major Daniel T. Hendrex as a distinguished guest speaker.
CSM(R) Hendrex addressed more than 300 AIT Soldiers and Noncommissioned Officers attending professional development courses, delivering an engaging and motivating message to two exceptional audiences. He shared impactful insights on life, leadership, and the qualities that define an exceptional Soldier.
He emphasized the importance of commitment, adaptability, and living the Army Values, Soldier’s Creed, and Warrior Ethos as the foundation for becoming one of the Army’s finest.
The chapter highlighted the importance of the AUSA Three Pillars—Educate, Inform, and Connect—by using the AUSA Leadership Fellows Program to bring influential leaders like CSM(R) Hendrex to Fort Lee. This program strengthens professional development, supports Soldiers and their Families, and deepens the connection between the Army and the local community.
The Southern Virginia Chapter AUSA extends sincere appreciation to CSM(R) Daniel T. Hendrex for his inspiring words, continued service to Soldiers, and lasting influence on the Fort Lee community.
