Prince George Parks and Recreation is offering an Introduction to Pickleball Course. This course is an Adult 55+ Beginner player level and is available to everyone aged 55 and older. Instruction will be provided on knowledge, rules, and fundamentals of Pickleball. Pickleballs and paddles will be provided for use during instruction. Participants should wear comfortable clothing and athletic shoes/sneakers.

The Pickleball Course will occur Wednesday evenings from 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM, from July 8 - 29, 2026, at Central Wellness Center Indoor Pickleball Courts (11023 Prince George Dr., Disputanta, VA 23842).

Registration is available until July 3, 2026, (unless filled prior). This activity is limited to 20 participants. The fee is $15 per participant. Register in-person at Parks and Recreation Office or on-line at www.princegeorgecountyva.gov/onlineregistration

Calling all curious young scientists! Join us for an exciting adventure into the world of chemistry, where every day is filled with experiments, discovery, and fun! This science program is designed especially for kids aged 8 – 12 to explore science through interactive, hands-on activities, with a mix of classic experiments and some spectacular surprises. This program will spark curiosity and help young chemists learn about the amazing reactions that make up our world. Students will use chemistry to determine if something is an acid or a base, turn an egg into “rubber”, and experience a chemical reaction that produces a foamy eruption that looks like toothpaste big enough for an elephant!

Super Science Sleuths will be held July 13 – 16, 2026, from 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM at Prince George Parks & Recreation Community Center (11100 Old Stage Rd., Prince George, VA 23875).

Registration is available until June 26, 2026. Register in-person at Parks and Recreation Office or on-line at www.princegeorgecountyva.gov/onlineregistration . The fee is $65 per participant and is limited to (14) participants.

Prince George Parks & Recreation will be offering a fun new Cardio Groove fitness class with certified instructor, Chanell Lockhart. Cardio Groove is
aerobic moves and dance grooves to upbeat, motivational, inspiring, and fun music!

Classes will be held on Monday evenings from 6:00 PM - 6:45 PM for 5 weeks beginning June 8, 2026. The last class of this session will be July 6, 2026.

Cardio Groove will be held at the Prince George Community Center (11100 Old Stage Road Prince George, VA 23875). Registration is available until June 5, 2026, at 5 PM (unless filled). Prince George Parks & Recreation is sponsoring Men’s Adult (Age 35 and Older) Basketball Leagues. Registration is for individuals only, not teams.

The registration fee is $50 per participant. Participants must be 35 years of age (On or Before July 1, 2026) and live OR work in Prince George County.

Residents may register on-line. Non-residents who work in Prince George must register in-person at Parks & Recreation Main Office and present a work ID containing a photo of the registrant, or a paycheck check stub within 30 days of registration date.

Practices will begin in July and games will be played during August and September. The number of games will be determined by the number of teams registered.

All practices and games will occur at Central Wellness Center Gym (11023 Prince George Dr., Disputanta, VA 23842) on Sunday afternoons.

Prince George Parks & Recreation participates in Chesterfield Quarterback League (CQL) and Chesterfield Cheerleader League (CCL), which are travel leagues. Registration for Football and Cheer is available until Monday, June 15, 2026. This year, all registrations will be conducted IN-PERSON ONLY at Prince George Parks & Recreation Office (located at 11100 Old Stage Rd., Prince George, VA 23875) from 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM. There will be evening registration hours available on Monday, June 1; Tuesday, June 9; and Monday, June 15, 2026, until 7:30 PM. All the following items are required to be submitted simultaneously for successful registration. NO INCOMPLETE, OR PARTIAL REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
• CQL/CCL/PG Parks & Recreation registration forms completed in entirety. Forms can be found here: https://www.princegeorgecountyva.gov/residents/parks_and_recreation/athletics/required_forms_for_cql_participation.php
• VA DMV Child ID Card displaying address located within Prince George County. Military IDs, passports, and receipts from DMV will not be accepted; the actual unexpired VA DMV Child ID Card must be presented. • Copies of birth certificates for all first-time registrants, and from participants who have not previously submitted a copy.
• Registration fees. Fees are $30 for one participant, $50 for two participants, $70 for three participants, and an additional $10 for each participant beyond three within the same family.
• Uniform fees. Uniform fees will vary depending on prior participation and uniform needs. Uniform fees for new participants are $110 (Football jersey and game pants) for Football and $122 (Cheer skirt, top, bloomer, crop top, socks, hair bow, Royals T-shirt, pom poms, and a backpack with team name and logo) for Cheer. Football participants must be 5 years old, and cannot be 14 years old, on or before August 1, 2026. Cheerleading participants must be 5 years old, and cannot be 15 years old, on or before September 30, 2026. Ages 5 -7 will participate in the Flag Division, and ages 8 and older will participate in Tackle Division.

Prince George Parks and Recreation is accepting Youth Fall Soccer registration from June 1 - 26, 2026. Beginning Fall 2026, and moving forward, the age determination date will be changed to July 31. The age the registered child is (or will be) on July 31 is the age determination for the division in which they will play. This rule change aligns with US Youth Soccer, US Club Soccer, and AYSO, which has moved to a school-year based age group, as opposed to calendar year. All participants must be at least 4 years of age and not reached 19 years of age on or before July 31, 2026.

The registration fee is $30 for one child, $50 for two children, $70 for three children, and $10 for each additional child beyond three, within the same family. Registration is available at the Prince George Parks and Recreation office (11100 Old Stage Road, Prince George, VA 23875) or on-line at www.princegeorgecountyva.gov/onlineregistration . Registration is for Prince George County residents only. A copy of the child’s birth certificate is required for all first time sign-ups, and for those not previously submitted.

Due to the concurrent playing schedule for both football/cheer and soccer, participants may only sign up for one activity.

Prince George Parks and Recreation is launching a new initiative to provide specialized skill-building classes in basketball, baseball/softball, and soccer for individuals with Autism and/or exceptional needs.

Join us for an adaptive and inclusive sports experience. This is a stress-free, non-competitive environment, focused on skill building, confidence boosting, social interaction, and fun for all abilities.
Featured activities include: Basketball Skill Stations; Soccer Skills Challenges; Baseball/Softball and T-Ball Fun; Obstacle Course; Sensory-Friendly Stations; and Free Play Zone.

This program is supported by dedicated volunteers with experience in the Exceptional Education Community, ensuring a positive, inclusive, and confidence-building learning experience for every participant.

This Clinic will be held 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM, every other Thursday from June 11, 2026 - August 20, 2026. Registration is available until May 29, 2026. The fee is $30 per participant. Register in-person at Parks and Recreation Office or on-line at www.princegeorgecountyva.gov/onlineregistration

Prince George Parks and Recreation is sponsoring a two-day baseball camp for youth aged 9 -18. This camp will be instructed by Prince George High School Varsity baseball coaching staff. Participants will learn the fundamentals of baseball, including hitting, throwing, and fielding. The camp will be held at Prince George High School Baseball Field (7801 Laurel Spring Rd., Prince George, VA 23875) June 16 - 17, 2026 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM. If possible, participants should wear baseball cleats, and bring baseball bat and glove.
