🎶💚 Making music. Building awareness. Supporting mental health.
In May,, Thomas Grover Middle School band students came together for a meaningful service project centered around mental health awareness and community support.
The 6th, 7th, and 8th grade bands performed works by composer Randall Standridge, including pieces connected to **The Unbroken Project**—an initiative created to bring awareness to mental health challenges affecting students and adults in our communities.
Through performances, activities, and assemblies, Grover students explored the importance of mental health, the resources available to support one another, and the power of community. Band students also helped make a difference by purchasing mental health awareness T-shirts, with 20% of proceeds donated to mental health nonprofits and su***de prevention organizations that provide crisis resources, therapy access, and community programs.
We are proud of our students for using their music and their voices to spread awareness, show compassion, and make a positive impact!
