Our beautiful Kestrel babies returned to the wild yesterday. I am so proud of them but I will really miss them.

Our baby Kestrels are looking so grown up. They are flying and hunting well. Just getting them acclimated to the weather and they should be ready to go. I will miss them. They are such beautiful falcons.

Umm…a little help here please

All kidding aside, this poor guy got caught in some fishing line that was connected to the tree limbs. When I saw how he was wrapped up, I knew there was no way I could get to him by myself. I have no idea how long he was there but thanks to IDNR officers Cummings and Piper, they were able to cut this guy loose.
This was right off of the red Covered Bridge. This is why fisherman need to make sure they pick up their fishing line or cut it down.
Right now this little guy is resting. Looked him over pretty good and don’t really see anything broke. I’m hoping he wasn’t there long and will make a full recovery, but we could use some prayers for the little guy.
