UPDATE: Looks like we found someone! Thanks Everyone!!

COSTCO PICK UP NEEDED.
Hey everyone, our good friends in volunteers that were picking up our Costco donations once every five weeks are no longer able to do so. We are desperately looking for someone who would be willing to go to the Costco distribution center in Morris once every five weeks and pick up the Costco donation and deliver it to Critter Ridge in Princeton. If there’s anyone out there who would be willing to do so, please reach out to us. This is a huge help and saves us a lot of money on produce. We would hate to lose this resource.

Got this little guy in yesterday. It is a baby screech owl. The Finder found him in the middle of the road along with his deceased sibling who looked like he had been cut. I suspect someone was cutting a tree and cut into their nest and left these poor babies for dead. PLEASE PLEASE don’t trim your trees in the spring when there are babies, and if for some reason you must, please be diligent in looking for wildlife and getting them to a rehab. These babies are federally protected. We are looking very forward to raising this baby, but this could have been avoided. Just look at this face.

Welcome Jasper and Hazel. There aren’t too many things that are cuter except maybe for Wallaby joeys

We have some awesome news! We are now USDA licensed!!! This is the same Licensing as a zoo.! That means we can do tours, encounters with the animals, educational programs and events. All right here in the Illinois Valley (Princeton)!! We are so excited. It was quite the process, but we did it! More to come… Stay tuned!

We were able to release our little injured Grebe today. he was all rested up and ready to get into the pond. I always love how happy they look when they get back into their natural habitat. Good luck little fella.

Does anyone have any of these child tunnels? We use them for the bunnies. They absolutely love them. Our Flemish Giants are so big that they can’t really fit into ones that are made for bunnies. If anyone has one to donate or know someone who does, please reach out. We go through them quite fast.

Poor baby got hit by a car. Scooped him off the side of the road near my house. I had seen him earlier, but thought he was dead and then someone messaged me and said that they had seen him and he had moved. So I got in the car and went back and sure enough, he was alive. Scooped him up and brought him back to the rescue.

Our first baby bunny of the year. To be honest, I don’t usually have very good luck with bunnies, but this one did great. He’s actually about ready to release. He’s such a clown.

ISO a window A/C unit for our back animal room. If anyone has one that they would be able to donate or sell cheap, please send me a message. It would be greatly appreciated. It must run on 110, not 220.
Thanks, everyone!
