At 12:47pm, ERVFD was dispatched to a structure fire in our first-due area. While units were en route, OEM-1 arrived on scene to find a working structure fire. Engine 1 and Engine 5 arrived on scene and went to work. Ladder 5 also responded with manpower. Greenvalley VFD, PFD, Athens VFD, and Bluewell VFD responded and assisted with fire attack. The crews operated on scene for a little over an hour. Great work by everyone on scene!!

Tonight around 11:20pm, ERVFD was dispatched to a structure fire in our first-due area. Engine 1 arrived on scene to find an abandoned sawmill heavily involved with fire. Engine 1 stretched a 1 3/4” handline and went to work. Rescue 5 and Engine 5 arrived, pulling an additional handline. Engine 2 responded to assist with water supply. Greenvalley VFD and Athens VFD also responded and assisted with water supply and manpower. Great work by everyone on scene!

At 8:42am, ERVFD was dispatched to a 2-car motor vehicle accident on 460 WB at the Old Oakvale Road intersection. Rescue 5 responded and helped with removing debris and spillage from the roadway.

At 11:18am, ERVFD was dispatched for a 2-car motor vehicle accident. Engine 1 responded and assisted with cleanup. Then, at 12:44pm, ERVFD was dispatched for a tractor-trailer fire. Engine 1, Engine 5, and Engine 2 responded shortly after the page. Engine 1 arrived to find the cab of the tractor fully involved. A handline was put into play, and the fire was knocked down within minutes of arrival. Greenvalley VFD was on standby for tanker support.

This evening around 4:37pm, ERVFD and Division of Forestry were dispatched for a brushfire. Engine 5 and Rescue 5 responded. When units arrived on scene, they found a fire burning along a driveway. The crew contained the fire and cleared after operating for approximately an hour on scene.

At 8:33pm last night, ERVFD was dispatched for a structure fire in our first-due area. Engine 5 and Engine 1 arrived on scene to find a mobile home that was fully involved and being torn down. East River units, along with Bluestone Valley VFD units, extinguished the fire. Good job by everyone last night, and thank you to Athens VFD for standing by for our coverage.
