Cleaning wipes can wreak havoc in sewer systems. Please do not flush them!

PLEASE DO NOT FLUSH WIPES!

Baby wipes do not break down like tissue and can block your pipes. Some manufacturers may insist that their hygienic, personal, and sanitary products are safe for flushing. This is far from the truth.

Wastewater systems, including your sewage pipes, are designed to contain and transport only human waste and tissue. Other items will not only clog your plumbing system but will also put an unnecessary burden on the water treatment facility. This could possibly result in higher operational costs and rate increases.

Please use an acceptable method of disposal, such as a wastebasket.
