ATTENTION RIVERCREST ESTATES TENANTS:
Mayor Volrath and the Princeton City Council want River Crest Estates tenants to know that we hear your concerns, we care about what you are facing, and we are fighting for you. We understand how stressful and uncertain this situation has been, and the City is actively working on a plan to help Rivercrest Estates tenants navigate what comes next.
We are currently working to arrange a meeting specifically for River Crest Estates tenants. Please keep watch over the next couple of days for an announcement with the meeting date, time, and location. We want to provide you with accurate information, answer questions, and discuss the steps being taken to help.
We also want to clear up an important concern regarding the water shut-off notice:
Your tax returns will NOT be taken or affected because of this matter. The outstanding account and infrastructure issue is a property owner matter. The shut-off notice that was provided is the City's standard notice used for residences throughout Princeton. The section of the standard notice stating that tax returns may be affected DOES NOT PERTAIN TO RIVERCREST ESTATES TENANTS. We apologize for any confusion or additional worry that language may have caused.
PLEASE NOTE: The upcoming tenant meeting is NOT a public meeting or a City Council meeting. There will not be a quorum of the City Council present. This meeting is being arranged specifically to provide information and assistance to those directly affected, and only River Crest Estates tenants are invited to attend.
Mayor Volrath and the Council recognize that Rivercrest Estates is your home, and we understand the seriousness of the situation. We are working diligently to determine what assistance and options may be available.
