Mimi is mama to the puppies we just adopted out. She's a quirky one and has a fear biting issue and anxiety. Her past owner was forced to get rid of her by her landlord. Her owner tried and tried. So we let her decompress here. She was challenging. Then one day it all clicked. She stopped pooping on the bed (that was fun) shredding the blinds (that was amusing) and trying bite me. She just clicked with the pack. In a instant she was the best dog ever. House broke, no anxiety, loving ever person she meets, I say it's because of Tippi. She has this magic. When a new dogs comes in, she goes directly to them and loves on them. She cuddles, she waits with them, she plays and sleeps with them. She teaches them that life is Grand at 2nd Hand.
Mimi is going to stay. She has family here now and she loves Tippi. Sometimes you choose a dog, sometimes the dog chooses you.

Blessed. This little rescue attracts the best people. Thank you to my Good Vibe Tribe making this little rescue possible.
Thank you to Linda Martin for helping me all week and even staying late on Friday then back Saturday morning. Thank you Sharon Wright, Cassie Francisco , Pam Schmollinger, Janet Letto, and WELCOME OUR NEWEST VOLUNTEER Brittany Lowdermilk she jumped right into stall mucking with the team!!
Thanks also too Jim Loveland for helping me with compost for my new garden and again picking up the manure - lots of manure !
It was an amazing day.

Rainbow Bridge welcomed a beautiful rescuer today, Jody Lund.

In the world of rescue, Jody Lund of Safe House Animal Rescue, was a gold standard.
Her love and passion for helping those with no voice, the kitty cats of the world, was unmatched.
Today, with many friends and colleagues in Rescue we have said a prayer of Peace at her passing, she battled cancer for so many years so valently.
I met Jody when she was my hairdresser at JCPenney's at the Peru Mall. Always beautiful always stylish always incredible energy. I then learned that she was safe house animal rescue and over the years she's helped me so many times taking in stray cats that have shown up here, helped me with low-cost spay and neuter many times, and I even adopted my beautiful calico named Willow.
When I was diagnosed with cancer in 2016 she organized all the ladies at JCPenney's to come have a day of work here and boy did they work. All day long they were cleaning up, and helping me take care of the animals. I barely knew her at the time and she reached out and organized this for me. That's a special person right there.
If you put Jody Lund in the search - I'm sure you will see many people sharing their love for her and her dedication.
Thank you for your compassion and love and I know Rainbow Bridge has all your kitties waiting for you

Dominic, the donkey that ran free in Bureau county is such a loving boy. Im cleaning his stall tonight and you can see in eyes that he says thank you. His feet are almost normal thanks to Mike Zimmerman. He loves to be groomed and loves all the attention he gets here. His best friend is Gypsy Rose, they are always kissing and grooming each other !
