Flood Water Awareness: At this time, the City of Princeton’s Emergency Management and Public Works Department will be providing supplies for sandbags for city business owners and residents. The supplies are located at the Public Works Department parking lot at 438 West Main St., across from the Fire Station. It is a self serve station at this time. For updates on the flood levels visit the following website: water.noaa.gov

CITY OF PRINCETON SNOW EMERGENCY - Saturday evening until Monday - due to the inclement weather that is coming over the weekend, the city would like to remind residents of the winter parking restrictions. No person shall park any vehicle on any street or highway area in the city of Princeton during a snow emergency. Snow emergencies are defined as two or more inches of snow that is accumulated, and or a television or radio broadcast that has declared a winter storm advisory. Please refer to the City Ordinance # 360-20 for more details. Thank you and be safe.

The City of Princeton is currently seeking applications for a Full-time General Laborer position within the Public Works department. Responsibilities include performing various skilled tasks in support of day-to-day operations, such as snow removal, tree trimming, equipment repair, utility operations (including meter reading, sewer jetting, and hydrant flushing), road maintenance, building maintenance, lawn mowing, and administrative tasks. Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent, a valid Wisconsin Driver’s license, and a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or the ability to obtain a CDL upon hiring. The City offers a comprehensive benefit package, including health insurance, State WRS Retirement, sick and holiday pay, and more. Salary will be determined based on experience and qualifications. As a friendly reminder, please make sure to shovel your sidewalks after each snowfall and maintain the drifting. With the snow and ice mixture, salt may be needed in areas. Thank you for keeping the sidewalks safe for all pedestrians.
