May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚

At Gibson County Ambulance Service, we see every day that mental health is just as important as physical health. Behind many 911 calls are people facing stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, and crisis—and they deserve care, compassion, and support.

📊 Some important facts:
• 1 in 5 adults in the U.S. experiences a mental health condition each year
• Su***de is the tenth leading causes of death nationwide and the fifth leading cause of death in children between the ages of 5-14.
• First responders are at a significantly higher risk for PTSD, depression, and burnout

If you’re struggling, you are not alone—and help is available.

📞 Call or text 988 for the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline
📱 Text HOME to 741741 to reach the Crisis Text Line

Check in on your friends. Talk openly. Take care of yourself.

To our community—and to our fellow first responders—we see you, we support you, and we care.
