Free people, in the image of a Creator God, innately use their talents, abilities and creativity to dream and invent. These dreams are the foundation of new products, new services, and ultimately new business. New businesses or “American Dreams” create economic stability and growth. Prosperity, when combined with faith and love for fellow people, creates social grace and charity. Charity creates h
ope and inspires more people to dream. Thus, the cycle of creativity continues, essentially building a strong community. Strong communities build a stronger state and ultimately a solid nation. It all starts with freedom. Our American government was created with specific and limited power on purpose. The purpose of American government is to support and encourage individual creativity by protecting the individual and their right to life and liberty. On the contrary, an intrusive government destroys creativity, by breeding complacency. An abundant government stifles dreams. Likewise, excessive taxation stagnates economic prosperity and consequently, shatters hope. I believe President Ronald Regan phrased it best when he said, “Government is not the answer. Government is the problem.” I do not believe this is an anti-government stance, but rather I believe that when the people are allowed to follow their own dreams and embrace their natural God given creativity, with little intrusion from the government, then they are inspired to reach for the sky, and make their world better. When many, collectively, are striving for excellence then all of society benefits economically as well as socially.
