The Princeton Fire Department would like to recognize the actions of three individuals.

An emergency incident at Ace Distribution center took place on June 11, 2026. The Princeton Fire Department was dispatched for a male patient that was choking at the named location in the cafeteria. The Princeton Fire on duty crew was currently responding to a motor vehicle accident on the interstate, so off duty personnel backfilled the station from home to cover this incident. Upon ambulance arrival, the patient was standing outside the business with other bystanders and the patient stated while eating, he underwent a complete airway blockage not being able to move any air into his lungs. Co-workers stated the actions of Tammy Prusak, Idalia Duran, and Paul Dhesse performing the Heimlich Maneuver dislodged the food from the patient’s upper airway allowing the patient to breathe again. With the extended response time during this emergency incident, the actions of these three individuals saved this patient’s life. Because of this, these three individuals were each presented with the Community Emergency Response Commendation. Congratulations!

🚨The 2026 Princeton Fire Dept. Basic Operations Firefighter Academy is coming!

🔥August 12th is first day of class. Classes are Mon and Wed 6pm to 10pm with two 8 hour Saturdays a month. Class is over by Christmas.

🔥Applications can be picked up at the fire station. They are also being mailed out to local departments. Due by August 5th

🔥Tuition is $100, due with application.

We are proud to officially welcome our three newest full-time members to the Princeton Fire Department: Allysen Jacobsen, Brett Klinefelter, and Clayton Wellenreiter.

Each of these individuals began their journey with our department as part-time members and has demonstrated dedication, commitment, and faithful service to our community. We are excited to see them continue to grow in their careers and are confident they will each be valuable assets to our department and the citizens we serve.
