Our latest Business Retention & Expansion visit took us to Alliance Coal’s Gibson South Mine in Gibson County, where approximately 370 employees help power one of the region’s most impressive operations.

From advanced safety technology and a highly trained workforce to logistics capable of moving 1,000 truckloads of coal in a 12-hour shift, Gibson South gave our team and regional partners a fascinating look at the scale and complexity of modern mining.

Thank you to the Alliance Coal team for taking us behind the scenes and sharing how Gibson South continues to play an important role in Southwest Indiana’s economy.
