Mrs Montgomery’s Pirates traded in the traditional math practice today and pulled out the UNO cards to work on place value! 🔢🃏
Hands-on activities like this get our students thinking, talking, problem-solving, and learning—all while having a blast! When kids are engaged, learning sticks! 🧠✨

It may be September, but these dog days of summer aren’t finished with us yet! ☀️😎 Nothing beats sunshine, fresh air, big smiles, and a little playground fun!

❤️ Starting Year 24… and what a journey it has been.
8 years as a secretary.
8 years as a school counselor.
8 years as an administrator.
All with Mercer County Schools.
When I look at those numbers, I see so much more than 24 years of service. I see progress. Growth. Opportunity. And the power of an education.
I am living proof that where you start does not have to be where you finish. I started as a secretary and just kept learning, growing, going back to school, and believing there was another step I could take.
The experience gained from climbing that ladder has been immeasurable. Every position taught me something I needed for the next one. I know what it feels like to work in the front office, to support children and families through some of their hardest days, and now to lead a school and the incredible people inside it.
That is the picture of progress. ❤️
Education opened doors for me that I once couldn't have imagined, and that's exactly what I want our children to understand: Your beginning does not determine your ending. Get your education. Work hard. Keep growing. Dream bigger. You can become more than you ever imagined.
Here’s to Year 24 — still learning, still growing, and still believing with my whole heart in the power of public education. ❤️🏴‍☠️
