🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ Field Day has officially begun at Mercer Elementary! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️
One of our most cherished traditions is underway! For more than 40 years, dating back to the early 80's, Mercer Elementary students have looked forward to this special day filled with fun, laughter, teamwork, and memories that last a lifetime.
You won't want to miss the excitement as our Pirates compete, cheer one another on, and celebrate the end of another fantastic school year!
A huge thank you to Mr. Bailey, our incredible PE teacher, for organizing and continuing this wonderful tradition for our students. Your hard work and dedication help make Field Day one of the most anticipated events of the year!

⛏️📚 A Special Visitor at Mercer Elementary! 📚⛏️
Today, we were excited to welcome Jim Bailey to Mercer Elementary! Mr. Bailey took a trip back to third grade as he joined our students in learning all about coal mining and hearing about their exciting adventure to the Beckley Exhibition Coal Mine.
Our third-grade Pirates had a wonderful opportunity to share what they learned and showcase their knowledge of West Virginia's rich mining history. We love when community leaders take the time to visit our school, connect with our students, and celebrate learning alongside them.
Thank you, Mr. Bailey, for spending part of your day with us. We enjoyed learning with you! ❤️🖤🏴‍☠️
