Now Accepting Applications: Capital Improvements Advisory Committee (CIAC)

Want to help shape Princeton’s future growth and infrastructure? The City of Princeton is seeking residents and industry professionals to serve on the Capital Improvements Advisory Committee (CIAC).

The CIAC advises City Council on long-term planning for roads, water, and wastewater infrastructure, including land-use assumptions and impact fees related to growth and development.

👷‍♀️🏗️ Who can apply?
• Princeton residents and residents of the Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (ETJ)
• At least 50% of members must represent the real estate, development, or building industries
• ETJ representation is required when impact fees apply in those areas

📋 Committee responsibilities include:
• Reviewing the Capital Improvements Plan
• Monitoring impact fee implementation
• Providing written feedback and semiannual reports
• Recommending updates as the city grows

It’s almost time to lace up and hit the court! Youth Basketball registration opens on September 4.

Get ready for a season packed with basketball, teamwork, competition, and plenty of fun. Games will be played on Saturdays throughout December, January, and February. Registration is open to players in kindergarten through sixth grade.

Early registration - Sept. 4 - Sept. 30: $140
Late registration - Oct. 1 - Oct. 15: $175

Early voting for the November 3, 2026, Primary Runoff Election begins Monday, October 19. Election Day is Tuesday, November 3. The Steve and Judy Deffibaugh Community Center, 416 N. 4th Street, will serve as a voting location.
